Kindergarten, here comes Mataias!

Well, it's been a week since Mataias started school. He likes it, we think. It's hard to tell. He loves packing his snack every day, his favorite snack right now is peanuts!! It's been a big change for us having him get up early. He's always been our little sleeper, always the last one awake! He starts school at 8:22 every morning and is done at 11:47, weird times...who makes these things up? Anyway, it's been nice for me too, that way I can wake up and get my shower and a few things done before everyone else wakes up. Plus, at least now I take a shower in the morning, not the afternoon or evening. I love taking him to school, when it's just him and me. It's a little chance for him and me to bond.
His first day was great. It was last week, the 11th of August, and we all went! I mean ALL of us. Jeannie and Maika and Tavai even met us there! He was excited, and I'm sure he was nervous too because when they sat down in class and started singing, he was frozen....in shock! He has the same teacher that Maika and Tavai had and she's great. She has been teaching for 31 years!!! Her name is Lisa Bates and we are really excited for him to be in her class for the year. I thought that he would have someone from church in his class and it was a big surprise not to. He does have a friend from soccer, Matt Coffey. So, that was a big relief for me and Matt's mom to see that they had each other in the class!
Well....now that our son is in school, it gives us some girl time at home and I enjoy spending time with my girls. Erianna will start next year and then I'll have one year and then Isa starts and then Kealana.....time goes way too fast! I really cherish every moment with them. Our children are sooooooo precious and I love how they are growing and changing, but it's so crazy to think how fast it has gone. We are old!!! I'm so so so grateful that Eric works so hard so I can stay home with our kids. Here's some pics of Mataias' first day.
