Well, as some people may know, my mom has a knack of potty training little ones. She should write a book?! She has some sort of patience that I, unfortunately, did not inherit for that specific task, because no matter what....every day, she has worked with all my kids starting before they were even crawling!! She says that even if they have accidents, they will learn and the only way is to be in undies and not diapers. It has worked, she has had all of my kids potty trained before the age of 2.
So, Kealana has been wearing undies for a couple months now and my mom (or sometimes me or Eric) would go and take her potty like every half hour or so. She even would just wear undies to sleep and seemed to be just fine, no bedwetting! Slowly, she would start saying that she had to go "mimi" (Tongan way of saying it) and we'd take her but it'd be like 2 seconds too late. But, just this past 2 weeks....she's GOT IT!!! She will tell us when she has to go potty.....it's the BEST!!! Just the other morning, I saw her walking into the bathroom, so I followed and watched what she'd do....she did it, all by herself. She even climbed up on a chair to wash her hands by herself. Then, she went around the room announcing to everyone "I did it!" YAY!
So, I know she's not completely totally potty trained, it's hard to keep her in undies when we are going out, dirty public restrooms.....but as soon as we get home, right back to it. It's crazy to possibly be done with buying diapers?! Or really soon be done with buying diapers. Thanks Grandma!
I just LOVE MY MOM!!!!!! We are so blessed to have her living with us. Sure, sometimes it's a little difficult but my kids get to see and spend time with their Grandma EVERY day. They love it.

Send her my way please!! :)
Good job Kealana! What a big girl. We're still working with Gabe on #2. We need you Gramma Lose! Haha. You seriously are lucky though! ;)
Jealous! I'm going to try it with my daughter now. I seriously hate diapers or at least I'm really tired of them. Congrats! It's always the best to have your babies go potty by themselves.
